The Stocksfield Players

Introduction

The Stocksfield Players is a group of amateur actors based in Stocksfield, Northumberland. The group was formed around 1959, and has presented regular productions ever since.
We are grateful to our many loyal supporters who regularly fill the hall at Stocksfield Institute and Community Association (SICA).

Background

Our repertoire has been wide and varied, ranging from classics such as Playboy of the Western WorldGaslight and Hobson's Choice to comedies like The Odd Couple, Bedroom Farce and Season's Greetings. More serious productions have included Bitter Sanctuary and The Diary of Anne Frank; while we have also been proud to present some spectacular Victorian melodramas, including Maria Marten (Murder in the Red Barn), and Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber.

We are proud of the high standards we set ourselves, and of the excellent reviews we regularly receive.
