Throughout Shakepeare's 'The Tempest', Prospero promises his trusty servant Ariel his liberty. This poem follows Ariel on his first day of freedom, as he makes a journey which will have a lasting impact on English literature. This poem won Newcastle Theatre Royal's Creative Writing Competition 2011.
